MeetYourClass Reach

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how MeetYourClass, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with MeetYourClass Reach (“Reach” or the “Service”), accessible at https://reach.meetyourclass.com. Reach is a content management and content research platform built for higher education institutions and the agencies that service them.

By accessing or using Reach, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service. This Policy applies solely to Reach and does not govern the separate MeetYourClass student-facing platform, MeetYourClass Engage, or MeetYourClass Enroll, each of which is subject to its own privacy policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create a Reach account—whether through self-serve sign-up or an organizational invitation—we collect the following:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Job title
  • University or organization name
  • Department or function within the university

If your organization uses a team or enterprise account, we may also collect organizational billing details, administrator contact information, and role or seat-type assignments (e.g., admin, full-access, or content-only designations).

1.2 Billing Information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. (for self-serve customers) or via direct invoicing (for enterprise customers). We do not directly store full credit card numbers. Stripe collects and processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We retain transaction records, subscription tier, billing cycle, and payment history.

1.3 Social Media Account Credentials

Reach allows you to connect third-party social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Threads) for the purpose of publishing, scheduling, and analytics. You may connect any, all, or none of these platforms. When you connect an account, we:

  • Request read and write permissions via the platform’s official API (e.g., Meta Business Suite API, TikTok for Business API, LinkedIn API, X API, Threads API)
  • Store encrypted OAuth access tokens to maintain the connection
  • Access profile metadata, analytics data (engagement metrics, follower counts, impressions, reach), media libraries, and publishing capabilities on your behalf

We do not access or store the passwords to your social media accounts. The specific data we access from each platform may expand over time as we add features and integrations.

1.4 Content You Create and Upload

We store content you create, upload, draft, or schedule within Reach. This may include:

  • Captions, media assets (images and videos), and post drafts
  • Campaign briefs, content ideas, and notes
  • Workflow and task data (kanban boards, approval comments, status assignments)
  • Role assignments within content workflows (e.g., copywriter, approver, poster)
  • Brand voice configurations and style guidelines
  • Audience tags, custom fields, and publishing schedules

1.5 Publicly Available Social Media Data

Reach’s content research and benchmarking features collect and index publicly available social media data from higher education institution accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Threads. This includes:

  • Public posts, including the first image or video thumbnail and caption text
  • Public profile information such as bios, follower counts, and account metadata
  • Engagement metrics (likes, shares, comment counts)
  • Author handles and post timestamps
  • Hashtag and keyword volume and trends

We only collect content that is publicly available. We do not collect private, restricted, or direct-message content. Our research indexing focuses on accounts associated with colleges and universities. We cache a thumbnail image and caption for reference purposes and link to the original post on the source platform. Once indexed, content is retained in our research database and is not automatically de-indexed or refreshed.

1.6 Usage and Analytics Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use Reach, including:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Service
  • Referral URLs, session duration, and clickstream data

We use Google Analytics and PostHog for product analytics. These services may set cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device.

1.7 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Reach uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and functionality. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service: Creating and managing your account, enabling content creation, scheduling, and publishing, delivering content research and benchmarking insights, managing team workspaces and role-based access, and processing payments.
  • AI-Powered Features: Reach includes artificial intelligence features such as caption generation, alt text generation, and automated content labeling, powered by OpenAI. When you use these features, relevant content (such as images, draft text, or brand voice configurations) may be transmitted to OpenAI for processing. AI-generated outputs are provided as suggestions only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific use. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publishing.
  • Product Improvement and Model Training: We may use aggregated or de-identified data derived from your use of the Service—including content patterns, engagement trends, and feature usage—to improve the Service, develop new features, and enhance AI models that power Reach’s functionality (such as the Brand Voice tool and content labeling). We will not use your identifiable content drafts or uploaded media to train third-party AI models without your consent.
  • Communications: Sending account-related notifications via Amazon SES, responding to support requests, and sharing product updates (you may opt out of non-essential communications).
  • Security and Compliance: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or security incidents, and complying with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with the following categories of third parties:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party vendors to help operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing), Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting and data storage), Apify (public data collection), OpenAI (AI features and data processing), Amazon SES (email delivery), Google Analytics and PostHog (analytics), and the official APIs of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Threads (social media publishing and analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to contractual obligations to protect it.
  • Your Organization: If you are part of a team or enterprise account, your organization’s administrator may have access to account activity, usage data, and content within your shared workspace. For agency accounts managing multiple client institutions, data is segregated across client workspaces and is not cross-accessible.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice of any such change.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

  • Active accounts: We retain your account information, content, and usage data for as long as your account is active.
  • Published content records: Records of content published through Reach (post history, publish dates, associated analytics) are retained even after account cancellation for continuity and audit purposes.
  • Deleted upon cancellation: Workflow data (ideas, drafts, task/kanban data, approval comments, brand voice configurations), social media OAuth tokens, and other working data are deleted when your account is cancelled.
  • Research data: Publicly available social media data indexed through our content research features is retained in our research database independently of any individual user account and is not deleted upon account cancellation.

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of social media OAuth tokens at rest
  • Hosting on Google Cloud Platform / Firebase with industry-standard security controls
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Data segregation between agency client workspaces to prevent cross-pollination of data

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. International Data Transfers

Reach is hosted in the United States on Google Cloud infrastructure. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate protection of your data.

7. Rights for EEA and UK Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at team@meetyourclassinc.com. We will respond within 30 days or as required by applicable law.

We process your data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (analytics, security, product improvement), consent (where applicable), and compliance with legal obligations.

For enterprise customers, data processing agreements (DPAs) are available upon request.

8. Additional Jurisdictional Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information under applicable privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or comparable state and international frameworks). We do not sell personal information. To exercise any rights available to you under applicable law, contact us at the email address below.

9. Publicly Indexed Content: Complaints and Corrections

If you are a content owner or authorized representative and believe that publicly available content indexed by Reach’s research features has been collected or displayed in error, or if you wish to request correction or removal, please contact us at team@meetyourclassinc.com. We will review all requests in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children’s Privacy

Reach is a business-to-business product designed for use by professionals at higher education institutions and related organizations. It is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

Reach may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as social media platforms). This Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on our website and updating the effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or in-product notification. Your continued use of Reach after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
